Copenhagen 15/8 2021. 75 cl corked bottle from Kvickly, Vestergade, Svendborg. The usual Biére de Asnæs design with a golden eagle spreading its wings in a blue version.
Pours opaque,, dark brown with a big light beige head. Settles as a 0,3 cm thick consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong, sugary sweet odor mingling with a slightly burnt scent. Brown sugar, toffee, butter and burnt malts.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a slightly burnt bitterness lurking underneath. Lingers for bit into a semi-dry finish.
A very sweet Dark Ale with a peculiar burnt vibe.
