Our Bock Bock is a strong Bavarian bock beer, decoction-mashed and brewed with five different malts and two types of hops. Decoction mashing is an old brewing method where you first take a part of the wort, heat it separately and finally pump it back into the mash tun again to raise the temperature. This method was particularly effective for controlling the temperature before the invention of using a thermometer in the brewing process. This method gives a special caramelization of the wort, and contributes a delicious sweetness to the beer.

The two hops used in our Bock Bock Easter Beer also help to give the beer a full and strong taste and spicy aroma of orange, pear and citrus fruits. Bock Bock is a sweet and full-bodied pilsner type beer, which is made extra delicious by its special brewing process and by adding a little extra hops.

Copenhagen 30/8 2020. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Gaudy yellow label with a cartoonish easter chicken looking drunk and stupid. Tagline is Not for Chickens.

Pours hazy amber with a big off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet, almost sugary odor mingling with sour grains. Toffee, brown sugar and caramel. A bit of nuts. Light sourness with a touch of alcohol.

Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet caramel. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet and a bit boozy.

Mediocre Dunkel Bock. And I suppose a Chicken could drink a beer with an ABV of 6,0.
