We love old brewing traditions, and therefore we have naturally brewed our IPA according to the old English brewing traditions, so we have added extra hops to the beer. We have chosen to add American hops to give our IPA a more fruity taste than what English hops can offer. This gives a traditional sweet English ale with fruity American hops.
Ørbæk IPA smells lovely of citrus fruit – especially grapefruit, which comes from the Cascade hops that we have used. You will also be able to smell a good scent of malt in the aroma. The taste is sweet and full-bodied, with a distinct bitterness from the hops.

Copenhagen 25/4 2020. 50 cl from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. Design looks pretty much like their normal IPA. Globe of the Earth and some stereotypical drawings of people from other parts of the world to give it the Colonial twist.
Pours hazy, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer and clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet odor of malt and dry bitter notes. Malty caramel and cardboard. Lighter odor of peach. Citrus-fruit odor a la multi-fruit juice.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong caramel-ish sweetness followed by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
A bit on the malty side but not without its own bitter charm.
