Strong Lager.
Every morning, Dag rides across the sky on his horse Skinfaxe. From the horse's mane flows the light that illuminates the world and gives people their zest for action. This beer is a tribute to the light and the day - a refreshing and golden ale, brewed with respect for the Nordic roots.

Copenhagen 2/9 2016. 75 cl bottle from Rema1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. The label is a full educational booklet about Dag the god of daytime in Norse Mythology and his rich relation to beer drinking.
Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Settles as small patches of foam floating around. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is very sweet with light tart notes. Sweet pale malts, bread, sugar and gooseberries.
Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a sugary malty sweetness followed by a harsh bitterness with sour notes. Aftertaste is fairly sweet. Surprisingly boozy despite the fairly low ABV.
Too sweet by several degrees for my taste buds - I wonder if Ørbæk was a bit too inspired by mjød when they conceived this.
