Copenhagen 28/11 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Østerbrocenteret, Kbh. Ø. A deer looking critically at me on the label.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a creamy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Several centimeters thick. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is sweet and tart at the same time. Sweetness from fermented exotic fruits mingles with sour citric overtones.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sour and bitter. Finish is dry.
An IPA is not the most obvious choice for a Christmas Beer - but I am not complaining.
