Ørbæk Orm comes from the old Danish word for snake. In mythology we have both the Midgard Serpent and the Viking ship Ormen Hin Lange, which was the Viking king Olav Tryggvason's enormous warship. A worm is much more than just an animal that lives in the ground, it is the term for someone who is quick to attack and is first to the battle.

Copenhagen 19/11 2015. 75 cl bottle from Rema 1000, Frederikssundsvej. Kbh. NV. Another Danish Beer produced as a Viking feature. Anyway you are kind of suspicious of a beer named "Worm".
Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Stable. Settles as a flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma of yeast, sugar, spices and a little sourness. Honey and humid basement.
Medium strong carbonation and an oily palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is quite bland. Lemonade sweetness and some spices. Yeast. Aftertaste has some sour bitterness.
Quite good for a beer named after a worm but some way to go compared to a Belgian Blonde.
