Pours a deep burnished gold with a steady stream of bubbles. Exibits a large amount of chill haze and still remains hazy as it warms. Creamy thick head with good renention, settles eventually with a rocky soapy consistancy leaving moderate lacing.
Earthen tones with what smells like a yeasty aroma. Light dusting of floral hops, very little spicy tones to speak of. Diacetyl is detectable. DMS present. Not much malt complexity in the aroma.
Moderate crispness, good bitterness, medium dry finish. low to moderate attenuated maltiness, corn and vegie, pils malt, bready tones, seed. Sazz provide a welcome stabalizing style characteristic with reasonable balance but a little on the sweet size. Grassy in the aftertaste. Again more hints of yeasts, even hints of fruity esters.
Medium carbonation feels a little low, medium body.
Closer inspection shows bottle conditioning, whats left is a yeasty hazy pilsner. This not only ruins the presentation of the beer but during bottle conditioning has effected many of the traditional pilsner characteristics. In truth it lies somewhere between a German/Bohemian Pilsner and a Pale Ale. End result is a perfectly drinkable beer thats a little rough around the edges.
