Stringy lace from a modest but lasting beige head. Near black but with a modicum of light passing along the glass edge.
Semisweet chocolate on the initial smell. I’m picking up a large dollop of cinnamon.
The flavor is more Stout-like with burnt black patent malt being strongest. This creates ash (in the aftertaste), burnt toast (in the beginning), and Baker’s chocolate (mid-taste). Decently complicated. The body is thinner for an Oatmeal Stout.
