One of the most densely unfiltered weizens I’ve ever seen. The color is warm yellow along the lines of a pineapple-apricot puree. But no head or lace make an appearance.

On the plus side: the beer was presented at an ideal serving temperature and the angelic waitress asked me if I cared for a lemon wedge. (Inquiring about a lemon preference scores big points on my service evaluation. I’ll take a wedge on the side, please.)

On the downside: the beer can’t boast of more than the frailest measure of flavor. The aroma has a spark of pepper as does the bittering. But the traditional Bavarian elements are absent and nothing arrives to replace them. The lemon adds vitality, but why should it?
