The beer is pitch black. The head is light brown, creamy, leaving some lacing, and has good curtains.
The smell is very much raisins and currants, sherry and Madeira.
The tast is (of course) sweet initially, dark sugar, raisins and dates, vinous, dark chocolate.
Medium carbonation, a full body, soft and oily.
Really a very nice, but young, IS. Would be interesting to store for a few years.
On-tap at Monks Porter House in Stockholm.
