Thanks to kramer17801 for sharing a bottle of this.
A-Dark brown with a small dark tan head. Leaves spotty lace.
S-Light chocolate malt a bit of dark roast and a bit of mild cocoa powder.
T-Chocolate flavour is disappointingly mild. Mild roastiness and a bit of burnt toast. Finishes with a puckering astringency.
M-Medium-light body. For a stout...and this is a so called imperial stout this is quite watery.
D-I was expecting a lot more chocolate and more body. This was overall not very exciting.

Thank you Maria for this new release. This is an imperial sweet/milk stout. It is listed as an imperial stout on the bottle. The label honours some Norweigan director with giant chess pieces. It pours black and has a huge sweet and smoothness to it, with chocolate. Quite good and unique, latte-ish.

The beer pours dark brown and settles black. It forms a diminishing tan head that is a thumb thick, creamy ont he top, but bubbly on the sides.
Has a mild roast coffee and milk chocolate aroma with an unclean note toward the end that I cant identify.
The thinness is noticeable right away. This just lacks the thickness of even the most basic Imperial Stouts. That aside there are some interesting flavors chocolate, cherry, plum, blueberry, heavily creamed coffee, hints of treacle and an almost oatmeal induced smoothness in the finish.
It misses the mark as far as being an Imperial Stout, but it is pretty damn tasty.
