Copenhagen 1/6 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Husum Torv, Husum. No nonsense label announcing that this is Klintekongens Stout that is made, so the poor King will not get a cold, when he races around in his cart.

Pours opaque dark brown with a light beige head. Bubbly. Disappear right after pouring. No lacing.

Aroma of fermented sweet fruit, licorice and a sharp sour edge.

Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick palate. Gently tingling texture.

Flavor is very sweet with a bit of licorice bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter. Lingers for a bit.

I have tasted better stouts - a bit too fruity and a bit too sweet. And I seriously doubt that this beer can help you get your body temperature up after a wild ride on the dunes.
