Copenhagen 22/5 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. Very simple yellow label informing you of good ingredients, careful preparations and a healthy amount of alcohol. You can’t complain about that.
Pours hazy golden yellow - almost orange - with a small white head. Disappears fairly fast leaving only small remnants of foam.
Aroma is a combination of sweet malts with a hint of caramel and more sour fruits like citrus and grapefruit. Notes of Belgian yeast.
Low carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor has the caramellike sweetness that you often encounter in Belgian beers - and is quite sweet with only very light bitterness for balance. Metallic taste from the overwhelming amount of alcohol. Aftertaste is sweet and slightly burning with the alcohol.
Catch the style all right - but is too sweet for my taste buds.
