Copenhagen 16/5 2016. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. Drawing of a small idyllic water mill on the label.
A creamy "worm" of foam crawls out of the bottle shortly after opening. Pours hazy - almost murky - orange-ish amber with a very big head. Settles beautifully as several centimeters thick creamy crown of foam.
Aroma is sweet with brown sugar, boiled vegetables and weak citric notes for an IPA.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Almost flat.
Flavor is of medium sweet malts followed by a distinct sharp sourness and bitterness. Rather long sour aftertaste.
A bit unbalanced to the bitter side. But then again there is a good long way from Stevns to India - so you would need a fair amount of hops to make it.
