Appearance: dark mahogany, opaque, thick layer of tight-beaded dark tan foam that collapses to a creamy cap, good head retention, lace

Aroma: almond cookies, cocoa, licorice, molasses, brown sugar

Flavor: medium-sweet maltiness laced with coffee roast, licorice, smoke, and a thin acidity; finishes semi-dry with a chicoree aftertaste

Mouthfeel: medium-full body, pert carbonation, silky texture

Other comments: Not the most aromatic of stouts, but the flavor is pretty good and it looks sexy.

The colour is pinch black, the liquid clear. The high, thick off white firm foam leaves a fine lacing.

The generous smell is fruity and roasted with some smoked notes, creamy dry notes of rye bread, burnt toast and vanilla ice cream.

The taste is dry and milder than expected. There are creamy notes of wheat flour, smoked ham, yeast, wheat dough, rose water, and a slight perfumed note that reminds me of play dough!

The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy; the carbonation is soft with medium bubbles. Oh, sooo smooth…

A stout/porter with an unusual slight taste. It might be a trade mark of this brewery, I don’t know yet.

The body of this beer is a sort of dusty black with a lasting, bubbly mocha head.

The aroma is burnt plastic, wood smoke, peat and burning tires.

The fore is burnt plastic and peat. Little else. Somewhat thin. It is so horribly burnt plastic, peat accented that you wonder if there was some confusion when they developed the recipe.

A pretty awful beer.
