Appearance: pale yellowy gold, slight haze, thin bubbly white suds that dissipate to a bit of spittle

Aroma: fruity/floral scent with cotton candy and blossom honey

Flavor: dry malt profile edged with a marmalade sweetness on one side and a pine bitterness on the other; honeyish notes and a slight acidity; finishes semi-dry with a lingering bitterness

Mouthfeel: light body, prickly carbonation, slightly minerally

Other comments: A nice, light beer with a tasty bitterness and crisp character. Would be great with fatty foods to cut the grease.

Sampled in a Pilsner flute.

The liquid is a little hazy; the colour is pale golden. The three-finger head slowly sinks down to a compact white lid, leaving minimal lacing.

The smell is terse – lots of bitter hops, certainly Saaz and perhaps some Hallertau. There is a very mild sour-buttery note, and some very discreet sweet malt. Parts German Pilsener, parts Czech Pils.

The taste is very refreshing; it starts off with some mild herb-y hoppy notes that are complemented with some buttery and yeasty flavours. The bitterness grows and becomes the dominant taste. The aftertaste is very bitter (like lime) with some notes of white bread and maybe a hint of dough.

The mouthfeel is like it should for a Pils; light, very liquid with lots of small strong bubbles.

A good Pils/Pilsner, with more complexity than expected.
