Appearance: ruddy copper, slight haze, good layer of tight-beaded foam, great head retention
Aroma: caramelly malt, licorice, hint of coffee, light woody hops
Flavor: lightly sweet malt profile; hints of almond extract, coffee grinds, and leather; finishes dryish with a firm hop bitterness
Mouthfeel: medium body, lively carbonation, minerally
Other comments: This is a pretty good dark lager. I do wish for just slightly more sweetness, though.
