Appearance: reddish brown/amber, great clarity, nice dense pillow of light tan foam, good head retention
Aroma: rugbrød, caramelly malt, leather, passion-fruit, honey
Flavor: dry malt backbone; slight acidity and nutty overtones; an acerbic chicoree bitterness throughout; finishes dry with a lasting bitterness
Mouthfeel: medium body, pert carbonation, minerally texture
Other comments: I was expecting something in the vein of a Belgian abbey ale, but this is quite standard. It's a good beer, if a bit pedestrian.

Bottle conditioned.
The colour is dark brown with a tint of orange; the liquid is clear. The head is finger thick, off white and compact. Some lacing.
The smell is yeasty with some sour wheat-notes, roasted sweet malt and a mild bitterness. Well balanced.
The taste is dry with some yeast, some lightly roasted dry malts (a hint of black malt perhaps?). I found some mild earthy notes, some diacetyl and a growing dry hoppy bitterness. The strong long aftertaste is loaded with a full-bodied creamy malt-flavour and a robust bitterness with citric and butter-like notes.
The carbonation is very strong with sharp microscopic bubbles.
Not bad at all!
