Appearance: pale yellowy-brown, hazy, loose sudsy tan froth, OK head retention, lace

Aroma: raw runner beans, hint of grapefruit, grain, leather

Flavor: big hit of piny, resinous hop flavor and a sizable dollop of bitterness; grass, roots, and tobacco; finishes very dry with a long-lingering bitterness and pine-needle aftertaste

Mouthfeel: medium body, zippy carbonation, astringent

Other comments: A very hoppy, bitter IPA. Up there with the loud, ballsy American craftbrews.

A: one finger of head on initial pour, but quickly dissipates as most IPAs do. The color is a cloudy golden color.
S: Smells of hops and fruit, but the fruit smells lightly aged and the overall aroma is more bitter than it could be.
T: One dimensional old fruit taste. This beer is not balanced well as it as all the bitter notes without any of the wonderful sweet or soft notes that can be present in an IPA
M: Medium bodied beer with light carbonation. Starts out super smooth and finishes slighty bubbly. Also leave a film in your mouth.
D: The beer overall is an okay IPA with a notably smooth quality that unfortunately leaves a film in the back of your mouth. Drinkable beer overall.

At first, the glass is almost entirely filled with off white foam. It sinks down to a nice low head leaving lots of lacing. The liquid is cloudy and the colour pale copper-amber.

The taste is bitter, but not in an American hoppy way: There are fragile notes of lemons, limes and bitter oranges, butter and a sour touch. Perhaps even a touch of smoked malt? Otherwise the malt is neutral with some sweetness. Full bodied. The aftertaste is long and medium bitter with citric and flowery notes and a growing touch of butter – diacetyl.

The carbonation is strong with lots of large bubbles. The mouthfeel is light smooth.

This is a great example of the English IPA: Lots of interesting hops and bitterness without going extreme, it keeps the balance perfectly.
