The brewery is located in a house that once were built for the C.W. Obel Tobacco Factory. Naming a smoked beer after the previous business seemed just logical.

Bottle conditioned. Colour is deep brown-red; the liquid is almost clear. The quite large foam sinks down to a pale beige airy finger thick head while leaving making a fizzing sound.
The smell is smoked. Camp fire, band aids, ashes, smoked ham, wet wood, tar. Lots of tar.
The taste is heavily smoked. Salty flavours of tar, liquorice and broth are blended with some dry notes of hops; there is a touch of bitterness. The body is low. The aftertaste is creamy with chemical notes of tar, band aids, detergents, asphalt and some salty flavours. The finish is dry.
The carbonation is surprisingly strong lots of small bubbles, the mouthfeel is a little bit sharp. The liquid is dry and very liquid.
A brutal but unbalanced rauchbier. Shame that the body didnt measure up.
