On-tap at Orsted in Copenhagen. Listed as a herbed/spiced beer due to the addition of wattle seeds however in my opinion it could also easily be considered an English Porter.
Pours one shade from black with a one-finger light tan head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of light roasted malts with good amounts of cocoa powder. Also present are mild amounts of sweet oats and not much else.
Tastes very similar to how it smells, though a bit more robust. Smooth and lightly roasted malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by mild amounts of unsweetened cocoa powder. Midway through the sip the flavors sweeten a bit and carry through to a mildly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness smooth carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass without any problems and could have another.
Overall there wasn't a whole lot going on with this beer but that's not always a bad thing. A simple, easy-drinking beer that's worth a shot.
