On tap at the brewpub.
Pours darkish brown with a very short-lived cream-colored head and no lacing.
Aroma is subtle but good with a nice mix of toasted and sweet caramel malts.
The taste is even better with the sweet caramel malts dominating but balanced well with a strong smoked character and hints of hops in the finish.
Mounthfeel is medium bodied with decent carbonation and goes down very smooth.
This was the best beer I had at the brewpub and one that I would drink frequently if local. I would recommend checking this one out.
