It was Simon Wittmann, the founder of the private brewery Nordbräu, who created the recipe for this wheat specialty. For years it remained virtually undiscovered in the archives until the anniversary year 1993, when the old recipe was revived for the 300th anniversary and the ever-popular '93 Hefeweizen was created. Its turbidity and fine yeast flavor distinguish the character of this particular specialty, which already caused a sensation in the anniversary year. Reason enough to permanently include the Hefeweizen, which our customers simply call '93er, in our range. With this Hefeweizen in export quality, you can still enjoy a piece of brewery history today.
