Had this one on-tap @ Bishop's Arms - Karlstad. It was quite suprising to find a beer from Skebo Bruksbryggeri in Karlstad.

Looks good, it pours a deep brown color with a small white/beige head.

Smells nice with lots of roasted malts, some smokiness with hints of christmas spices. Some English-style hops can be found too I think.

Tastes really interesting of smoke, roasted malts and some sort of spicyness. Maybe some pine-needles or something like that with hints of smoke. Really filling mouthfeel.

To sum it up; a very good beer from a really small brewery.

The name is a play on worlds: The Christmas carol "Silent Night" is called "Stilla natt" in Swedish - "Stilla fnatt" would mean something like "Silent crazy".

The colour id dark wine red; the liquid is clear. The finger thick beige head is firm. Some lacing occurs.

The smell is somewhat hoppy with some fruits. It is very balanced.

The taste is malty and a little roasted. Coffee and dried fruits, nuts and caramel. There is a fresh bitterness too. The aftertaste got notes of fruit candy, and lots of malt. Some flowery notes and a fine medium strong bitterness.

The carbonation is medium; the liquid is semi-smooth.

A very nice beer!
