The smell of this beer is very hoppy, but the first thing that stands out is the lacing. I've never seen a beer lace like this, it almost covers the entire glass, bad ass. The taste is like a good IPA with that strict dryness that rye gives you. The only thing that holds this beer back is the thin mouth feel. Drinkability is fair and all I can say is this is a solid beer, try it out.

Cask version at Barleys 3rd Annual Mini RAF (04/16/05): Cask-conditioning did not seem to have too much of an impact on this beer. Lightly hazy dark golden color with a tiny beige head. Very little lacing. The aroma is hoppy and the rye is difficult but not impossible to detect. Medium-bodied and smoothed out a bit by the unfiltered treatment. Hops at the forefront, along with rye and citrus. The finish is lightly bitter and lingering with the rye flavor coming through more in the aftertaste. Enjoyable.
