750 ml corked and caged bottle, 2015 vintage. I've had this bottle about a year (I believe it was released December 2015). Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours an orange/amber color with about an inch off-white head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing. The brew smells like dark fruit, stone fruit, hay, apricot, herbs, and funk. It tastes like oak, stone fruit, vanilla, earthiness, funk, herbs and some citrus peel. It's tart, but not exactly sour. I think it's more earthy/herbal than anything else. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and slick and has a high amount of carbonation. I don't know if I should have drank this sooner or let it age more. It's a unique brew, but unique in a good way. I liked it. $18.99 a bottle.

750ml brown bottle, sample bottle from the brewery.

Brilliantly clear copper hue, sizable head drops down to a thin lacing that stays. Funky, medicinal, lemon rind, wild herbs, wood, & mint in the nose. Deep crispness, well carbonated, dry-ish moderate sized body. Funk and wood run a bit wild on the palate, well aged with a mature character. Lemon and phenols drop some depth. Kiss of esters and more wood in the finish. Good drinking all around even if it is pretty far out there.
