Tasted by 100ml, No.2 in a tasting set of four at this mock brew-pub (i.e. beers are not brewed at this premise). Served by a tap behind the bar.
A: very light amber or dark golden in colour, topped with a very thin beer head that settles fast to a rim, while the carbonation is low.
S: a slightly chemical note of passion-fruit + banana yeastiness accompanies an overly sweet, corn-ish and semi-grainy aroma of wheat- and barley-malts, with a very faint touch of caramel at the fringe. Little spiciness typical of a weizen is detected on nose.
T: faint fruit-esters precede mildly dryish-sweet wheat-malts and a natural dryness in the end; short finish, with a wee bit of sour grains and a touch of caramel.
M&D: refreshing enough due to the light carbonation, but the body is thin-ish even for a weizen and it lacks a sound structure and sufficient flavours overall, where neither malts nor spiciness make enough appearance on the palate to retain a sort of gravity. All in all, this is at best a weird interpretation of a classic style, but surely theres room for much improvement!!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
