A: This poured a clear dark copper with quickly dissipating light tan head.
S: It smelled like earthy caramel and bready malt, with a little sweet agave.
T: It tasted like bready malt and copper hops, with some earthy caramel and a little agave. It had a dirty mostly sweet aftertaste.
M: It was oily with moderate carbonation. Decent body.
D: This was not a good brew. The scent and taste and body were all subpar. The finish was a little rough too. Not much to like about this one, barely worth trying once.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter, the beer is a dark, slightly hazed, ruby-highlighted bronze coloring with a thin, clingy, off-white halo of head. Nose of super-sweet agave, cherry sweet and tart, berry sweetness, and a subtle blend of nutmeg, coriander, grains of paradise, and all spice. Flavors are fruit sweet forward, with an underlying blast of booze. Wow, this one hits you in the mouth, but it drops off kind of quick. All fruit forward, with cherry and date notes, subtle earthy highlights, tropical fruit sweetness, and a floral highlight. Bordering on overly sweet, with a subtle spice blend that doesn't do much in terms of balance. Smooth, mid-bodied, with an oily end feel. The finish is super sweet, with a blend of the cherry, berry, and tropical fruit. Very sweet throughout, which helps to mask the slightly elevated ABV. No real strength or "muscle" that a normal strong ale carries. Fruity and flavorful, but just lacking some of that depth and punch.
