Pours a flat brown with no highlights, minimal head with almost no retention. Moderately high carbonation. Aroma is mildly roasty. Very little malt on the nose. Flavor is almost vinegary overwhelming any roast or oak flavors it may have derived from the oak barrels. This beer makes your mouth pucker and your tongue feel dry. Although this beer is supposed to have picked up a multitude of flavors from frequently used bourbon barrels, I did not taste either a bourbon or other flavors. Disappointing.
