Served in a pint glass a crisp dark amber with a thin head that diminished into a ring and left very spotty lacing. The aroma was of strong malt, not much else, but a strong aroma nonetheless. The Taste was a good balance of sweet malt with a bittering alcohol bite. You could tell the hops were there, but barely. The mouthfeel was slightly heavy with malts and some alcohol weighing on the palate, not overpowering, though. This is a very enjoyable beer, it's too bad they're not planning on bottling it.

A: Dark amber in color with a fine, persistant white head. Good clarity
S: Malty, malty and more malty. No hop aroma present
T: Malty and sweet upfront with appropriate bittering in the finish.
M: Coating, full mouthfeel. Nice carbonation. Right for the style.
D: Reasonably drinkable for a bock.

appearance: The beer is a rich, nut brown in color with a wispy white head with a nice ring persisting.
smell: A great sweet & sour blend happening here. Various malt sugar aromas with a nutty, earthy smell of toasted malts that have been tempered with dark fruit syrup. Crisp, clean hop aroma.
mouthfeel: The carbonation is light and bubbly, and the body a full medium.
taste: Very flavorful and pretty malty, though the sugars are well offest by the sour notes and light hop bitterness. Considerably earthy/autumnal.
drinkability: Took a couple pints with ease
Sampled on the day of the tap-only release...I was a little conservative with this review, and might need to have a couple more to solidify my feelings on it.
