Picked up two growlers while out at Horniblow's with wagenvolks after enjoying a pint. Hard pour into a Duvel snifter yields a nice crisp amber with a decent frothy head that lasts as a thin layer and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is subtle burnt caramel malt and slight hops. The taste is a wonderful plethora of pine and citrus hops overpowering the caramel malt, but not by too much striking up a great balance. The beer is very light and crisp with a nice lasting bitter finish. This is certainly very enjoyable, I have to say this is the best low gravity beer Big Boss has made yet.

Growler purchased from the brewery. Enjoyed a few pints of Amber Ale w/ atsprings before deciding to take this one home...sliced open my thumb later on that night (4 stitches!), but that's another story.

Into a pint glass, the growler pours a murky, burnt copper body with a thin layer of eggshell-colored head. Good retention and lacing. The aroma is drenched in caramel sweetness--imagine a fresh candy apple or a melted sugar daddy. Lots of toffee, sugary fruits, and a touch of hops. Could use a bit more balance, but I'm in heaven.

Body starts out good and malty, but the sweetness that I loved so much in the aroma becomes a bit thin and watery. The finish is a step in the right direction, as hops dominate the aftertaste with piney, resinous greenery. All in all, a very refreshing, very tasty, very drinkable amber from the good folks at Big Boss. I never seem to be let down by their newest creations...keep up the good work fellas!

Ze beer has a nice coppery amber glow, evenly hazey topped by an amber tinted beige head. An 1/8 inch retention holds on and spotty lace moves around the glass with each sip. Aroma brings a pleasant balance between malty goodness and soft citrus floral-pine hop sweetness. Easy, fairly basic aroma, but nicely delicate with some added depth. Taste matches quite well. Just the right amount of sweet chewy malt and refreshing lightly bitter pine-citrus hop. Again, very nice balance. Good sized medium body with a mostly creamy smooth and slightly resiny texture. A pleasure to consume.

I am enjoying having a growler of this around.

Hazy reddish-amber with a thin creamy off-white head. Stringy lace drips down the glass. Balanced aroma of citrus-like hops and warm caramel and biscuits. Flavor is similar...just the right amount of hoppy bitterness and lots of balance. Very drinkable on tap and still good out of a growler. Medium bodied and pretty smooth. Very solid...I like it.
