On-tap at Horniblow's Tavern served in a standard pint glass a nice opaque black with a thin diminishing head that left slight lacing. Aroma was a decent amount of roasted malts and red wine. The taste is dominated by Merlot, roasted malts and spice are delegated to the back seat by the sweet grape flavor and slight wood. The beer is somewhat heavy with loads of sweetness and slight carbonation. This is certainly a unique beer, one I'd love to try again in the dead of winter.
