On cask at Raleigh Times served in a Brittish pint glass a slightly hazy orange, but it was hard to judge the crispness in the pale bar light. Aroma is a nice abundance of funky citrus hops, it lives up to its name in a good way! The taste is a nice balance of sweet malts and bitter hops with an abundance of bitter hops in the lingering finish. The beer is medium bodied with just slight alcohol, smooth and refreshing with a touch of dryness. This is what an IPA on cask should be, dry-hopped to the max!

cask conditioned ale, poured into a standard pint glass.

A: orangish color, slightly hazy, no head, no lacing

S: very hoppy smell. citrusy and grapefruity.

T: very good balance of malt sweetness and hops. has a good level of bitterness, but no overly bitter. the hops shine in the aroma and flavor. full of citrusy flavors.

MF: medium bodied, low carbonation, drinks very smooth (cask conditioned)

Drinkability: awesome beer. very drinkable.

Hazy orange pour, fizzy off white head, and spotty lace. Aroma of tropical fruit and citrus. Resinous hoppy flavor with a touch of caramel and toasted malts. Lingering bitter/dry finish. Solid IPA, now its time to bottle one (like HRIII) or keep one on tap regularly

Very crisp IPA with good color and feel to it. BB needs to keep a good IPA on tap at all times. They are always good. The Miss Charlotte IPA was a little lighter than this and not as crisp. BB claims this one is hoppier. OK. I liked Miss Charlotte better but this one grows on you. At $5.50 a pint, it's more than little spendy. As I remember, Big Stinkay was 7%. Can't recall on Miss Charlotte. BB beers in general are mostly darker than I care for and their dark beers can taste burnt. Not this IPA. IMO it's just right in color and taste.

A: A bit of a cloudy pour into a pint glass. A thin layer of foam forms on top, receding to a ring that leaves some lacing.

S: Big citrus and herbal notes, but a bit hard to discern in a smoky room.

T: Following through with what the aroma promises (minus the smoke!)... Big on the citrus peel, decent malt body. This one is quite tasty.

M: Moderately full bodied, but with a crisp finish and relatively low carbonation.

D: Dangerously drinkable...wish this one was available full time. It compares well with SN Torpedo.
