A 330ml can with a BB of Sept 2017. Acquired recently from a webshop. A single-hop pale ale showcasing Mosaic.
A: Poured into a tulip. A bright golden hue with some floating sediment and good carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a surface layer. Slight lacing.
S: Aroma of grassy, fruity hops with hints of stone fruits, tropical fruit, light mango, grass, faint spice, grainy malt and earthy yeast. Nicely balanced.
T: Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with notes of stone fruit, tropical fruit, mild mango, grass, subtle malt and earthy yeast. Pretty dry, with a crisp bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and decent body. Some hop oil action on the palate. Aftertaste of bitter fruity hops and earthy yeast.
O: Very nice - a well-crafted pale ale that showcases Mosaic without going overboard. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour have a satisfyingly fruity character underpinned by light malt and yeast. Pleasant body that suits the style. Goes down all too easily; would be perfect for a summer's day. Well worth sampling.
