Cotswold Cask ale poured into a Pint glass @ the roebuck pub, 50 great dover street,London
Appearance... Copper orange beer with head colour white of 1 finger aprox
Aroma... malt, hops and a little touch of citrics. malty aroma but very light
Taste... Orange zest notes and hop , not too much bitterness for a cask ale but with a long aftertaste
Mouthfeel... medium body and soft carbonation
Overall... a decent but not remarkable ale, hops are present in a light style.

A 275ml bottle with a BB of Oct 2012. Picked up a while back from Morrisons as part of a mixed 4-pack - I presume they were selling them off after last Christmas. Never heard of this before; the label features an image of an idylic Cotswold village.
Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear orange-amber colour with light carbonation. Forms a small head of white foam that lasts for a minute or two before subsiding. Aroma of subtle caramel malt with hints of grain and earthy yeast. Not much going on.
Tastes of mild caramel malt with a dry finish. Hints of grain, earthy yeast and faint stewed hops. A carbonic acid twang in the background and a weak, dry bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, though rather thin. Decent carbonation on the tongue. Aftertaste of faint malt.
Dull and unimpressive. I guess there's nothing technically wrong with this beer, but it is so lacking in flavour and character as to be unworthy of drinking. Perhaps it's better on cask. At any rate - not really worth your time. Give it a miss.
