Clear 500ml bottle (bottle conditioned), best before 17 Jun 09, drank 24 Jan 09. Poured into a straight pint sleeve.
A slightly hazey body of amber beer, on top sits a huge white bubbley head, looks fine to me.
Very little aroma, some hops but even that isn't obvious, some grainy smells too, I had to really search for anything.
The alcohol seems to win in the taste stakes, hops and malt are in there, but they can't contain the 6% very well. A label on the side of the bottle claims it has 'a well rounded fullness of malt and deep strenght of hop bitterness'.
The body lacks strenght in my opinion, even if the bottle trys to tell me otherwise. Pleasant enough and I'd have it again.
