Poured a dark amber color, quite transparent and capped with a 1” beige head.
The aroma was lost on my Covid affected nose.
The taste is very different, malty and dry red wine seem to make for a curious pairing but it kinda works. By the time I got to the second half, I was really enjoying it.
The feel was a bit heavier than, say a lager but not as heavy as a cream ale. If that makes sense.
OA, I think this would make a great winter beer, it feels out of place in warmer weather. But still tasty.

Sampling a cellar temp 12 oz can poured into my snifter. The beer pours a clear chestnut color with some ruby highlights. A dense creamy beige head foams up about 1.5 cm and fades to a wispy surface covering, leaving some dense lattice on the sides of my glass.
Aroma is some brown sugar and toffee with a bit of pine sap and resin, maybe hints of lemon in there too. Interesting nose.
First sip reveals a medium body with very fine and fairly gentle carbonation. Smooth texture and the beer drinks easy.
The flavor profile is more complex than the nose. I get toffee and brown sugar, definitely some red grape and berry notes too. This moves to a hint of a sappy bitey hop note and some spicy black pepper. Finish dries out my palate and the bite lingers after the swallow. I believe the alcohol is the bite on the finish not hops.
Fun beer from a brewery I would never had know if not for @bigironH Thank you!
