A: Golden color; a little cloudy. Poured 1 finger coarse white head that dissipated to a broken skim. Laced the glass in thin sheets.
S: Lots of light-colored fruits. Crackery malt more prominent as the beer warmed. A little peppery bite.
T: Same as the nose. A light peppery finish lets some of the esters linger - in a good way. I don't know the ABV, but I got a a little buzz on the big draft - disguised it well though.
M: Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Carbonation suited the body really well - nice balance overall.
D: Flavorful and smooth. Need to find out the ABV.

A bomber left over from GABF judging and given to me as a reward for all my volunteer efforts. Thanks to CB Potts and 2008 GABF staff for the opportunity.
Pours a 2+ finger white head over a brilliant rich-golden liquid studded with flocullated particulates. Smells piney and lemony with some soured character and some phenols. Pretty enticing. Almost a brett character...not what I'd expect from a Belgian Abbey-style ale.
Tastes noticably malty with caramel and fruity esters, but dry from attenuation and phenolic character. Woody with a dash of piney and oak bark. Some bubble-gummy that could be from hops. Although light and dry in the mouth, there is a bit of residual sweet in the finish. Sweet in the aftertaste is not a priority, due to a heartburn that rises up. Acid...not quite. Perhaps more of a spicey phenolic edge that burns the gut.
Md-light body and moderate mouthfeel. Carbonation is a bit stronger than I would like. Honestly, not much of a tripel (to which I must judge the beer), but decent.
