This *should* go without saying, but a 40% beer certainly drinks like straight bourbon, and is very hot on the way down. If straight liquor is not your thing, you should probably keep moving.
Beer is not carbonated. The plus is I can cap this and drink the rest later. But it does result in a poor appearance.
Smell is outstanding. Simply, the base delphine highly concentrated, you can smell this from across the room I could barely pull my nose out of the glass long enough to drink it.
Taste, as expected, is also super concentrated delphine. It keeps all the flavors from the base that you'd want and magnifies them. Sweet, smooth, decadent.
**Important note: this must be consumed cold. This beer does not warm well. The heat gets too hot. Smell nears over the counter isopropyl alcohol. Taste begins to burn a bit. Feel waters down. I'd rate this a full point higher cold than warm.

35 cL bottle. Black body. No head. Smells intensely alcoholic, but not as bad as BAOS. I even get some bourbon. Lots of peaty scotch. Taste is burnt malt. Fruity offensive grape flavor. Peaty and briny. Slightly less offensive than BAOS. Still undrinkable. Ugh.

A strange beast and hard to rate. Aroma is raisin, black licorice, fig jam, a little soy / mushroom, oak, marzipan. Flavor hits hard with licorice / fig / anise, herbal notes. Oak in the middle ... a lot of complexity but it just ends quickly leaving a lot of heat. The length is not what I would expect. Texture is like a reduction, almost a culinary sauce type feel.

Incredible. Very boozy, but still pick up bourbon, coconut and chocolate. I hope I get a chance to drink it again.
