11/05/05- Had at the Toronado Wet Hopped Festival in San Francisco, CA.
Presentation- Came in 6oz samplers via the tap. Had two of them because this was the winner IMO, and several others.
Appearance- Slightly clouded darker golden pour. Not a large head due to the size of the glass, but a nice rim was left through the entire sample. Left above average lace.
Smell- About the best smelling IPA that I have had. Incredibly fresh hop aroma with both grapefruit and pine resin scents. One of those that you just want to smell and could care less about drinking...until you actually taste it.
Taste- Wet hopped IPA's just seem to taste so much crisper and fresher than dry hopped ones. Nice bittering action to go with the fresh grapefruit tasting hops. Malt was there as well. Quite a delicious brew.
Mouthfeel- Maybe a touch creamy and an easy drinker.
Drinkability- Wish they would sell me a pint of this...or bottle it!
