In Russian politics, the technique of Kompromat was perfected by the KGB. By gathering compromising materials about a politician or public figure, they were able to threaten blackmail and ensure loyalty. The juicy and fruit forward character and low bitterness is a big departure for our brewers. If you enjoy it don't worry. Your secret is safe with us.

From tap, this pours an opaque and lightly burnt orange color with a smooth foamed off white cap. Decent lacing. Smell is actual rather subdued, but a good blend of tropical fruit and some dank pine please the nose. The flavor follows with mostly tropical fruits of mango and guava followed closely by grapefruit and again, a mild almost afterthought of pine. Feel is medium bodied, medium carbonation, somewhat "juicy", and pretty well balanced with hardly any of its 9.4% abv detectable.. Overall, this is not was I was expecting from Bear Republic, but in a surprisingly good way. I initially thought this was a little bland, but came to realize that it had plenty of flavor, a great feel, and was very enjoyable to take some time with and just relax. Cheers!
