A new style of beer that is sweeping through the Bay Area craft beer community and beyond. Ours is deftly hopped with Galaxy and Hallertau Blanc for a fruit forward tropical nose and low bitterness. Like the bubbly French wine this beer is, bone dry and extra carbonated

Had this at BeerNV. Pours yellow with good clarity, 1/3" white head. Aroma wasn't over the top dry hopping, I'm yet to have a brut ipa that imparts a significant amount of hop aroma. Dunno the tech specs of that, but some science nerd I'm sure could weigh in. The hallertau blanc came out more, but that provides more of a grape impact.
Taste was good, hops came out more, beer was plenty drinkable and light. Bitterness was average. Reminded me of the grape like qualities in new glarus's berliner weisse. The commercial tug job about tropical flavors from the Galaxy hop seems overstated, I didn't really feel that. The weird thing was that this didn't feel all that dry, just seemed like an ipa they made with green grapes (or more accurately, hopped with a unique hop that imparts this effect). Just because you amp the carbonation up doesn't make one a brut ipa.

My first Brut IPA. Looks and feels like sparking wine. Very dry. Not a ton of hop flavor - some citrus perhaps. And could I be imagining that white grape flavor...or is it just the power of suggestion. Overall, I'm not convinced this is an IPA but I will reserve judgment until I've had a few more in the "Brut" style.

Straw yellow in color with a quarter inch of creamy eggshell white on top. Heavy lacing. The aroma is of pine. I’m tasting faint pine and light crackery malt. The mouth is bone dry and crisp.

Bear Republic nailed it with the Brut Squad! No harsh IPA bite, yet still hoppy. I dig it!
After having this beer a couple more times I slightly downgraded my ratings. Still a really good beer, and maybe my score is still a little too high, but just thought I'd revise my review.
