This big, hoppy, crisp lager is Bear Republic's interpretation of the German beer brewed to commemorate the coming of spring.

This is a very good maibock.
Pale amber/dark gold, it has a small off=white head soon thinning.
Aroma is very subdued maltiness and grass.
Taste is a simple but nice and balanced raisiny-doughy maltiness with peppery-grassy hop bitterness. It is somewhat vague and a bit subdued, but overall quite firm and enjoyable, holding up well to food.
