This review is for the Bear Republic Challenge series # 70, Purple Lightening IPA.
Pours a pale gold yellow. Interesting aroma. Mostly melon. There’s some guava and pineapple on the back end. Tropical punch bowl upfront, mixed with white grape. The grape juice and honeydew melon dominates the palate. Sweetish finish. Pleasantly effervescent. I’m glad I tried it but I’m glad I didn’t take three more home.
