Rebellion was created by Bear Republic's brewers as a single hop pale ale to showcase the characteristics of new hop varietals and old favorites. Always brewed with the same American and English malts, the soft malt character allows the unique flavor and aroma of the hop to shine.

July 28th, 2015 - This beer runs up and down a flavor sheet, and rapidly mashes the keyboard on my palate. It's busy and raucous, but I love it. Medium to lighter bodied, it gives off a light sweetness. Overripe guava, orange and pine blend to make a curious but appealing flavor and hop profile. The aroma offers more pine and pine pollen, and added notes of mesquite and campfire. All of the above is delicious and offers a wonderful taster to savor.

on tap at Bailey's. description says soft malt character, but I found the maltiness to be overwhelming the hop characteristics, which only put forth bitterness as opposed to a grapefruit-y or hop-forward taste. not my thing.
