On tap at Bear Republic in August 2009.
Poured a nice amber caramel with a nice off-white head. A bit of lacing on the way down. Overall, a pretty nice smell, but a little bit lacking, even for how small the beer is. Smells a bit fruity with a few dark sugars. The flavor is an improvement with a little bit more of the yeast coming through in addition to the caramel, toffee, and slight dark fruit presence. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but overall drinkability was good. A nice beer.

I had this beer as part of a flight of samples at the Healdsburg, California restaurant. From tap and in 3oz sample glasses.
A-amber colored body and an off white thick head
S-nice sweet molasses smell
T-sweet malt front with some husky grain flavor
M-light despite the color, easy drinking
D-Not a bad beer. Very friendly and a great session brew.
