From a can, pours a cloudy, dirty orange. Thick white head leaves streaks of lacing. As for smell and taste: all malt, no hops. Super sweet. No real hop flavor, but a big bitter finish. I hated the first can, but by the 4th I was kind of enjoying it.

S: earthy pine, citrus, caramel malt
T: big caramel malt backbone, pine resin, grapefruit zest, mango
F: full body, very resinous, moderate carbonation, pungently bitter & dry finish
O: good DIPA but not my favorite of the Hop Shovel series so far

I was expecting more dank and more pine. This hits me as a juicier sample in the spectrum. I'm not complaining. I like Bear Republic stuff. The beer market is a much different place than when I had their stuff more regularly but it still holds up.

Poured from a can - clear honey gold color with white head leaving scattered lacing. The name describes the nose and taste pretty accurately . This is another fine WCIPA from Bear Republic. Recommended.
