Serving: On tap at Bear Republic’s Lakeside Brewpub (Rohnert Park, CA) served in a shaker pint.
Appearance: Subtly hazy golden amber with a lush head of white foam and thick rings of lace.
Smell: Terrific ale aromas of toasty grains and toffee, citrus zest and fruity esters, earthy and floral hop notes.
Taste: Nicely balanced malt profile with caramel and grain backbone playing well with citrus, earth and crisply bitter hops.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation and overall smooth feel.
Overall: A nicely executed pale ale with a measured dose of American hops but still nodding towards its malt-driven British roots.
