Big additions of Azacca, Mandarina Bavaria, Meridian, and experimental 13459 give massive juicy hop aromas of Orange and Tangerine with a hoppy West Coast Double IPA finish.

Can dated 1/20/22 into pint glass. Cracking the can resulted in a foam geyser, which wasn't a good start but maybe I dropped the 4-pack at some point in the distant past? Pours a hazy medium gold with a substantial but short-lived off-white head. Initial impression is dank citrus, grass, orange rind, mint, lemon, and sweat. Mouthfeel is medium thick and more astringent than juicy. Finish is bitter. Overall, this is somewhere between a thick West Coast DIPA and a NEIPA gone off the rails. Not awful, but not one I'll revisit anytime soon.

It's from Bear Republic, what could go wrong? Well, it starts with a big foamy stark white starchy mess on top of the beer. This isn't something that's part of a true IPA. It's usually the result of substituting wheat, or less of an infraction, oats into the wort, replacing barley malt. The smell is hoppy, but not West Coast IPA piney hoppy, just vaguely hoppy, with nothing else. The taste is very disappointing. It's a shallow flavored muted hop taste without any added dimensions. The mouthfeel is way below average, with almost no body at all, even for this style, known more for its hoppiness than its mouthfeel. The best to be said about this experience is the high ABV is pretty well hidden. It's now understood why this was in the discounted section for $9.99 a four pack of 16 ounce cans. It was overpriced.

Orange. Head qickly disappates. Poor carbonation. Thin mouth feel. Way over the top on everything. Alcohol forward. Pine sol finish.

Honestly a really tasty double IPA. A beer that finally isn’t over done when trying to have a fruit taste. You can taste the slight orange and tangerine, but finished super well with the taste of Danky hops. Sometimes beers over do it a little when trying to use a fruit flavor but this one is more on the heavy side of pine notes and dankiness. Makes is pretty much perfectly balanced. A juicy beer and a tasty one. Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a beer that’s a little heavy and like a little bit of orange flavors
