Citra, Amarillo, and Simcoe combine with Pale, a touch of Munich, and C-15 malts in classic West Coast IPA fashion. Assertive bitterness with hoppy aromas of orange, lime, grapefruit, passionfruit, pine, and a hint of dankness to round it out.

In fairness - a bit of age on this (unfortunately did not realize when purchased as just brought in to Alberta and new to shelf….).
Pours a cloudy bright orange with a finger plus of bubbly irregular off white head.
Nose of ripe orange, grapefruit, bit of tropical fruit, cotton candy - as warmed hint of piney resin.
Taste briefly gives a bit of sweet citrus but very quickly gives way to an herbal and tea like character - overwhelmingly bitter in a sucking on a tea bag kind of way - perhaps some grapefruit, grapefruit peel, and perhaps some spruce (maybe my take as the flavour that sticks with me is similar to prior run ins with IPAs with spruce tips….).
Medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation but the lingering tea bag sensation turned this into about 4 ounces for me and 12 ounces for the sink… but the aroma - very nice.

Pours a pale straw yellow with a finger and a half of head that dissipates to a thin ring with some lacing. Aroma of orange and pine. Taste follows nose.

Appearance is golden orange marmalade in a glass with good lacing and visible hop matter in suspension.
Smells like a hop field, with yeast and sweet malts in the background. Citrus peel + herbs + fresh baked bread. There is a warm spiciness as well that's very inviting.
Taste follows with bitter orange rind, malty grains, deep resinous notes of pine and spice. A touch of apricot.
Texture is almost chewy, but not quite. Just the right amount of carbonation to balance things out.
Overall this is a classic example of a well balanced ipa. A strong malt structure to support all those hops.

On tap at Bear Republic Brewing
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.
S: Herbal, earthy, dank, pine, tropical and stone fruit, citrus, and slightly toasty bready malt.
T: Resinous pine, big dank earthy herbal notes, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and orange, underlying tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, papaya, peach, apricot, and a touch of melon, slightly toasty bready malt, and just a touch of sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Hits all the classic West Coast IPA notes. Super dank, plenty of bitterness. Not my favorite flavor profile, I was expecting a bit brighter and cleaner, but they nailed what they were going for.
